The Power of Inner Stillness

Stillness has fascinated thinkers, philosophers, monks, warriors, and everyday seekers for centuries. Across cultures and traditions, the idea of stillness appears again and again sometimes spiritual, sometimes psychological, sometimes symbolic. And in the modern world, the notion of masculine stillness has become a topic of renewed curiosity. This blog aims to explore stillness, its essence, why it matters, and how to cultivate it not from a superficial angle, but from a deeply grounded, lifeoriented perspective. 1. Understanding the Essence of Stillness Google defines stillness as “the absence of movement or sound.” A simple definition almost too simple. But stillness, especially in the context of masculine energy, is not merely the absence of movement. It is not about being a statue or shutting yourself away in silence. Instead, stillness is an inner state . A groundedness. A kind of presence that remains unshaken even when life moves rapidly around you. Stillness is… Not rush...

Commitment to nothing is a distraction to everything

The ones who are committed to nothing, are distracted by everything. I am thinking about this. Let's take for example, if you are committed to work, you are not distracted by random thoughts going around. Let's say you are committed to one woman, you won't get distracted by others. You are committed to getting promoted, you won't be distracted by other things in your life. What I am trying to say is that one needs to have goals in life and move the life in the direction of their goals. We are supposed to improve every day towards something bigger and better in our lives. I am sure that the software engineer that I was earlier, I am not that person anymore. I do believe in learning. I am still a huge believer in learning and I still believe that one needs to spend as much time in learning as possible. I am saying that don't try and change the learning part. Earlier I thought that content consumption is bad, but dude, content consumption is not bad at all. It's t...

Lessons from Larry Bird: Mastering the Fundamentals of Success

I haven't published anything in a few days, not because I haven't been writing, but because nothing felt quite ready. After exploring Michael Jordan's wisdom previously, I found myself drawn to another basketball legend: Larry Bird. His quotes hit differently, especially when you apply them beyond the court. The Real Meaning of 100% Commitment "I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end." Everyone talks about giving 100%, but what does that actually mean? It's not some abstract concept, it's concrete action. 100% is about attitude.  It's waking up early and honoring your commitments. It's going for that code push, making that extra effort, giving everything you've got. When you dive for a loose ball, you don't go halfway, you fully commit. The key insight? Commitment isn't about how you feel; it's about what you do. You might not feel like going to the gym, but if you...

The Growth Zone: Why Everything You Want Is Outside Your Comfort Zone

Everything You Want Is on the Other Side of Fear I’ve always believed that everything you want in life lies on the other side of fear. The best things—confidence, success, freedom, never come from comfort. They come from courage, uncertainty, and a willingness to step into discomfort. Most of us talk about stepping out of our comfort zone occasionally. But what if the real secret is to live outside of it all the time ? What Exactly Is the Comfort Zone? The dictionary defines a comfort zone as “a place or situation where one feels safe or at ease and without stress.” In simple words, it’s anything familiar: your routines, patterns, and usual choices—where life feels easy, predictable, and safe. Think about it: Eating the same food every day Playing cricket the same way Watching only familiar movies Hanging out with the same friends Doing the same exercises That’s your comfort zone: familiarity . Comfort zones are subjective. For a one-year-old, spelling “cat” is...

Action cures fear

Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence. So that's very important for good health. Now that is quite an interesting thing right. We want to be calm and self-confident both. One thing I have learnt is that when you are calm, you are more likely to make good decisions because you are able to think clearly. So calm mind in that way is quite important. I'm sure we need to be calm, but what we really need is that how to really be calm and how to make sure that we are able to solve most of the challenges. There are quite a few things.            Naturally we want to have goals in life. That's important. So the goal needs to be there and without that we will have nothing to aim at. So having goals is important. It serves us to give the direction. So let's now focus on having goals. What are goals. Some people say that goals are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timebound. That's the acronym of smart goals. We want to have such smart ...
