Why Ignoring Negativity Empowers You to Achieve More

Image
I wanted to talk about ignoring the negative people in your life. We all get into days which are argumentative and we wonder why did we get into this in the first place, isn't protecting your peace more important in such cases. Oh well, now that I know, it certainly is more important. Protect your peace at all cost is the most important and the rest of the things are fine. Someone insulted you fine, don't take it personally. Someone said something bullshit, bolne do. Someone did something bullshit, karne do, you do what you do. As Priyanka Chopra said, "Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate and rotis gonna rotate, who cares you do what you do". I love that quote, but with time I am recognising the best way to deal with the trollers, the haters, and the negative people in the world is to ignore them.  We all know that negative people just want a reaction out of you so they'll provoke you, they'll harass you, they'll try to say nasty things about you, but...

Handling Insults with Confidence: Strategies for Defusing Negativity

Image
So today I wanted to talk about insults. This might be a very sensitive topic, but needs to be addressed. So yesterday, I met a friend and he said something that was really insulting to me. There definitely was some weakness or something I showed before that and that got them into this maybe or whatever the reason might be. Sometimes it's more important to understand that there might be something that might have triggered right. Anyways let's get back to what is an insult? Google defines insult as follows:  speak to or treat with  disrespect  or  scornful  abuse. To speak or to treat with disrespect or scornful abuse. Fair enough for a definition, when we speak with disrespect or when we abuse anyone that's what an insult means. Now the question is how do we respond to an insult?  One of the first things we can do is fact check. For an example, let's say someone calls you an elephant, then you have to check an elephant's face and then check your face, ...

Why People Feel Dissatisfied: The Role of Wanting vs. Having

Image
I was wondering recently about why people are so dissatisfied with their lives, and their ways of living. What is it that makes people go bitter? What is it that causes anger in our lives? What is it that makes people feel sad? Why do people go wrong and how can we improve on that? As I was wondering this, the only thought that came into my mind was the fact that people think about what they want more than about what they have. People feel bad when they don't have something far more easily than they feel good about having something. For an example, you might have a great relationship but won't have too much money, or you might have too much money but you are completely single, imagine what it does to your mind, you start focusing on the lack of a relationship or a lack of money and start wanting that more. I am not saying that wanting more is a negative thing, what I am trying to put out is that always thinking about wanting more is a negative thing and never thinking about wha...

Taking Initiative: The Key to Leadership and Success

Image
Guys, in life, it's very important to take initiatives if you want to be a leader. So today I am going to talk about what is initiative, why is it important and what can we do in our practical lives to cultivate the muscle of initiative. So google defines initiative as follows:  the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do. Read the lines carefully, it's the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do. Interesting, basically, do something before others do? I am not so much in sync with the definition from google, but taking charge is something we can highlight here. Another definition of initiative is this, from vocabulary.com, " Initiative  is all about taking charge. An  initiative  is the first in a series of actions.  Initiative  can also mean a personal quality that shows a willingness to get things done and take responsibility. " Initiative is all about taking charge. Highlight taking charge over here, and  it'...

The Subtle Skill of Observation: Observing Without Judgment for Better Outcomes

Today's topic is going to be observation. I read a quote the other day that observation without judgment is the highest form of intelligence. Let's understand what this means at a deeper level. Observation means looking at the world in simple terms. " Without judgement " means that you do not label anything good or bad. For example, if you see a man eating a frog, you just saw a man eating a frog, there's nothing good or bad about it. If you see a friend talking bullshit about another friend, there's nothing good or bad about it. It's just a friend talking about another friend. Don't label anything. If you see a charger charging a mobile, it's just a charger charging a mobile, it's just law of conservation of energy, energy can never be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another. So here I want first talk about why observation in life is so so powerful and more important than we think it really is.  1. Discovery: ...

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right.

I was really looking at my life and certain decisions I made were really wrong. I had an experience in my life after which I started having doubts over people's real intention. I mean there was nothing wrong with them, but maybe it was the environment, maybe it was the fascination of some things, but whatever it was, there was something wrong about the environment is what I believe more than there was something wrong with the people. After all, I knew those people from a longer time, but the environment that was created was temporary. So my dear friends, I want to tell you that I learnt after some time that there are going to be things in our lives that go wrong, there are going to be people in your life that hurt you, but that does not mean you forget trusting people and believing that everyone would be like that. There will be a negative environment, negative circumstance that might have caused people to act a certain way, not everyone is bad. I read a beautiful quote today,  ...

Why Managing Time is More Than Just Being Busy

Image
Don't waste something that's limited and rare. Oh yeah don't waste your money you mean, absolutely not, I mean time. It was a long weekend recently and yes I did go out with my friends, I did meet my teacher who came from India, but honestly, when I was home, I was simply doing nothing and wasting my time. It was at that moment, I realised that the time that's gone, is not coming back. I feel like shit after wasting time, especially because I did spend almost 2-3 hours in reels and at the end of it all I was exhausted myself. I mean what was I doing? Watching those stupid reels for 2 hours. Basically, I wasted 2 hours of my life and I was like what is really happening, I should have found some better way to utilise this time rather. But anyways it's okay, now that I think about, because it was the past and I can't anyways change it but I can always learn something from it and move forward in life right. So today, I am going to talk about Samay ka sadupyog. Basic...

Emotional Control: Navigating Life’s Challenges with Grace

Image
I am not sure what I am going to write about, but there's something that happened in my personal life and I was like why is this affecting my professional life. In fact the problem that happened was not even in my personal life, it was in someone's life that I can't even solve. A feeling of helplessness seeped in, I was thinking maybe I can do something to solve the problem, but honestly, I just can't do anything. People do go through emotional problems and there can't be any logical solution to an emotional problem. An emotional problem can be solved only through emotions. But honestly, you just have time that will eventually solve that problem. I personally cannot do anything and change anything there, the sooner I accept, the better. Yes, I can give a listening ear and funny joke, but other than that, there's nothing much. Which makes me come back to the same topic of controlling what you can but we have already spoken about that previously. Maybe it brings ...
