India vs Pakistan: Game awareness

Let's start writing. It's 9:58 and I am going to write till 10:30 now. I am not super sure what to write but I really liked the game today India vs Pakistan. As it started, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. When we elected to bowl, what happened is Pakistan started really well. At the end of the power play they were I believe some 46-0 and then at the end of 10 overs they were almost 90-1. This did put India in a back foot and then we took a wicket at around 113-2. At this stage Pakistan were looking like they would score around 60 more runs and they would post a target of 180. That would have been a challenging target. But then India came back and then bowled brilliantly or the Pakistani shot selection was poor, idk. But India won the game at the point where we took all the 8 wickets in very less runs. The completed at 146 all out and they didn't even play the whole 20 overs. Clearly, it was the pressure in the minds of Pakistani batters that inorder to win a c...

Love vs Lust

Love vs Lust: Choosing Wings Over Illusions Yesterday wasn’t the best of days. A bad day can often teach us more than a good one, especially when it reveals our own weaknesses. What I realized is that controlling my body, my impulses, is one of the most important aspects of growth. It’s easy to get pulled into distractions like YouTube or social media, especially when life feels unsettled. But each time we give in, we lose momentum. We trade focus for fleeting illusions. One of the strongest battles a man faces is with lust. It isn’t just about the act—it’s about the energy. Lust drains you, weakens you, makes you feel momentarily high but ultimately empty. When indulged, it sells you a fantasy of satisfaction, but afterward, it abandons you—leaving guilt, shame, and a limp in your spirit. It’s like drinking salt water: it feels like it quenches your thirst, but it leaves you more dehydrated. You think you’re enjoying yourself, but in reality, you’re tearing off your own wings....

The Power of Making People Feel Good: Simple Ways to Uplift Others Every Day

Today, I had an interesting experience at Blaze Pizza that reminded me of something powerful: the impact of making people feel good about themselves. It’s amazing how much people will do for you when you genuinely lift them up and help them feel valued. For instance, there’s a guy at Blaze who serves me regularly. Today, I gave him a rating, and he got to see it. Just seeing that feedback made him genuinely happy. It wasn’t about the rating itself—it was about making him feel good. When people feel good around you, they naturally want to help, support, and even go the extra mile for you. They’ll make sure you’re taken care of, and sometimes, they’ll even give you credit where it’s due. I truly believe the most powerful way to make people feel good is through personal interactions. Meeting them, giving compliments, showing curiosity, and genuinely engaging with them is far more effective than anything else. Over time, I’ve realized that not everyone will be able to do something tangib...

Where Muscles Tear, Character Grows

Well, it's quite an interesting thing out here. I went to the gym yesterday. Once I went to the gym, one of my favourite things to do is to exercise in silence. No distractions, just pure you and the gym. Silence. Difficult, uncomfortable, but worth it. So, silence is quite an important part of our lives. I was in the gym, and I was working out I was speaking about how to do a certain exercise with someone. This someone who was all ripped, and strong and muscular, I was like how do you even get there? He said that he was 145 pounds as well, and with time his weight grew, and he became somewhere around 180-190lbs. The growth in his weight was simply due to the fact that he went all the way to the limits. He spoke about how important it is to train till failure, or else your muscles will not grow. In fact, his thought process was that when you break your muscles only then it will grow, else it won't. He also spoke about nutrition and how to keep training even on the days you don...

The Power of Discipline: Why Direction Matters More Than Speed

Discipline, Deep Work, and the Long Game Recently, my manager left our team. He was personable and good at what he did, but he felt his career would continue better elsewhere. I understand his reasons, but his departure made me reflect on something bigger: what about us, and what about our careers? This season for me is about working with depth. Writing blogs like this helps me stay focused for at least 45 minutes at a stretch. It’s not about quick wins; it’s about doing the hard things repeatedly until they become habits. And when I zoom out to think in terms of the next five years rather than the next five days, perspective returns. A failure here or there doesn’t define me. What counts is continuous, meaningful work . Why Deep Work Matters When things around us feel uncertain, one of the best anchors is deep work. Block 4 hours a day for uninterrupted, focused effort. Even if it feels tough, even if you don’t see instant results—sit at the crease, like in cricket, and face the deliv...

Extrinsic Vs Intrinsic rewards

Extrinsic Motivation: Money, Status, Fame, Rankings, Likes, Comments, etc The first question that comes when thinking about this is what is external motivation? The way I see it is anything that's outside of your body is an external motivation. Think about the reasons that I am writing this blog. I mean do I even get anything out of the blog when it comes to money. No absolutely not. But for me, I value creativity and that's why I feel its an important part in my life. Writing blogs. Moreover, when I write blogs and create instagram pages, I get some insights myself that I don't otherwise. So, there's a personal benefit that comes with it, but moreover it also satisfies my own purpose. It gives my life some sort of direction and value. So that's external motivation. What about people working in a job that only is 9-5. That sort of creativity in my opinion is more extrinsic. Something that's liked to fame, money, status, power, etc. I am sure both of these types ...
