The Importance of Staying Structured, Especially When Life Isn’t

 As I am recognizing some really interesting stuff now. Where I need to work with the team and other folks out here, but let's keep going. So what we are trying to achieve out here is to get some work done on the agent infra side of things. I am just going to write down what I understood so far. 

Every Foundry Project is identified by a system managed identity. This is the first thing that I understood. Once we have a system managed identity will be given IAM roles. Those IAM roles are used to access different resources. Now if a particular application is there and we need to call graph apis from that particular application we will use that identity to call those graph apis. So once we understand these basic concepts we can move over to the next few concepts. But this blog is about self help and not IAM roles and system managed identity. What did I learn is not to rush. Not to go for something that we want to feel good about we want to follow a particular way of working. The more we work the better we get at the work. But here we are trying to develop a product as a team and the more we structure the way we work the better. 

Today : 

As I learned today we did multiple things. We first of all did learn more about what foundry is and got an overview of how agents can be deployed. How they can appear in admin portal and so on. We also learned about system assigned managed identity. So that was also interesting. But if you think about it, we started with the basics. There are enterprise application in azure foundry, there are so many other things in azure foundry. The more I understood the better. Moreover, I want to teach to the world so that I can understand better. 

Today the topic is going to be teaching. We need to block out some time and teach. The more we teach the more we develop ourselves. At least that's how my life as gone so far. Remember to hold the structure, if we hold the structure and if we start understanding the code and everything really better. That would be great. I believe that we can create a markdown file as well. Currently we are doing the actual work. While we are doing the actual work, we will be able to spend more time into developing something. That's the foundry thing that we are doing now. We want to understand how its interacting with the bot service. But well, let's get back to this zone of writing. I love writing. Sometimes I write sometimes I read but the basic idea of writing is thinking. 

Development cycle: 

I think there's a bit of chaos that is there all the time. Without a bit of chaos, we will never be able to have a structure. There would never be someone structured if there would never be someone too chaotic. We want to get into the best frame of mind while we are working and have the least context switches. I know for a fact that messaging someone one teams is a bit too chaotic for me as well. For an example, Jon I messaged and I said, late message... was occupied with foundry thing haha. But what we are here to understand is that the more we get into the choas or in a reactive mode, the more we will get pulled in. If the world can pull us in and suck our energy, then it would be too dangerous. We need to have our boundaries and work accordingly. So well, let's keep that with us. Now the next thing is how to maintain the structure. I am sure silence is one great way to have a structure. If we are silent we are able to be with ourselves and we will be able to learn. True silence does not mean doing anything. In fact, it's about formulating thoughts and thinking through what needs to be done. So, structure and silence go together. 

Production: 

Producing at the highest level is extremely important. One needs to have a standard of work. That standard of work is the way we develop much better way to work. A formula that's set, a way to work that's set. If we are in a set method to work, we are able to work better. Think through what can be achieved here and that way we can achieve things. Being goal oriented also really helps. When I talk about structure one should think of masculinity. What are some great qualities of highly masculine people. Having a goal. Having a structure that works around the goal. Challenging ourselves. Putting ourselves in a challenging position and so on. The more we develop this type of services the better. That way we are able to understand certain things with more depth. I am sure there are certain things that take time. Which I believe is fine. Taking time is what is quite normal. However, one needs to be comforatable in silence. If we develop the best quality of work, and work iteratively we will be able to achieve quite a lot. 

Boundaries

One really important thing to understand is boundaries. One as a man should hold boundaries and structure all the time. If you do not have boundaries, the reality is you are not a man. For an example, I might worrying about this. But the truth is people with boundaries have very less to deal with. If you are able to hold boundaries, then people won't pounce on you. If you are not able to hold boundaries, people will certainly pounce on you. So the one thing we need to understand is the underlying infrastructure. So hold your boundaries. 

Values or north star

As a man, you should hold the values you need all the time. I think if you stop having values, for example respect, integrity, and structure, people can walk all over you and you would not say anything. If you have values, then you will be someone of value. Think of this, even for working with depth, you really need to have a value and work towards that value. 

Play

Chaos can’t be eliminated; a deliberate “play” or spontaneity block stops structure from becoming brittle and gives room for novelty and creativity.​

So what we are saying here is that play or spontaneity block stops structure from becoming brittle and gives room for novelty and creativity. If you are able to be creative. So make sure you hold structure but give yourself some breathing room. I am sorry for the late response, you can wait. If it's not urgent or someone is dieing you can wait


I know what I am saying does not really have a great structure around it, but make sure we have some containers around what we are doing. When we are able to hold space for others, that's when we become who we really are. We need not be closed or inauthentic. But what we need to realize is that the path is the goal. If you maintain the structure around that container only then you can be less chaotic and develop a lot of things that otherwise you wouldn't have. So keep developing and understanding more and more. 

Get out of work on time

If you get out of work on time only then you are able to go to the gym and think of long-term growth. Everything that we do should be to work towards the north star. If we are not working towards the north start there's something seriously wrong with us.
